The Transfăgărăşan Road
This road appeared in the british television show Top Gear (episode 1, series 14). They came to Romania in september 2009. The photos were taken on the last day of october 2009, just in the last day the road was open. During the winter, the road is closed because of the very large amount of snow which cannot be removed. As you can see in the pictures, the road is pretty hard to drive and it isn't recommanded for beginners. The host, Jeremy Clarkson claimed that Transfăgărăşan should have the title of the best road in the world.
